1. Introduction and Scope

This Privacy Policy describes how VIT Labs FZE LLC collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information when users use the Chat GT iOS app. It complies with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021, GDPR (EEA users), UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA (California residents), and Apple App Store requirements.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide directly

Account registration details, support communications, and other information you choose to provide.

2.2 Information collected automatically

Usage data and device information collected via Firebase.

2.3 Information NOT collected

• GPS location
• Microphone or audio data
• Contacts or calendar
• Health data
• Browsing history from other apps
• Photo library (beyond explicit in-app camera use)
• Google account passwords
• Biometric data

2.4 AI prompt and conversation data

Prompts are sent to the selected AI provider's API. Conversation history is stored locally and on VIT Labs servers. VIT Labs does not use your conversations to train AI models.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Providing and operating the App (account management, prompt routing, conversation sync, subscription processing)
• Improving the App (anonymized analytics via Firebase, crash and performance monitoring)
• Communication (transactional emails, support responses, optional marketing with consent)
• Safety, security, and legal compliance

Legal bases under GDPR/UAE: contract performance, legitimate interests, legal obligation, and consent.

4. How We Share Your Information

• Third-party AI providers (OpenAI/ChatGPT, xAI/Grok, Google DeepMind/Gemini, Nano Banana, DeepSeek) — only the prompt and any attached content
• Firebase (Google LLC) — backend, authentication, analytics, crashlytics, performance monitoring
• Apple Inc. — App Store distribution and In-App Purchase processing
• Sign in with Google — VIT Labs receives only your name and email
• Legal disclosures — when required by UAE law or a lawful court order
• Business transfers — with equivalent privacy protections in place
• Aggregated/anonymized data — non-identifiable data only

VIT Labs does not sell, rent, or trade personal data.

5. Data Storage and Retention

• On-device (iOS encrypted storage) and Firebase/Google Cloud servers (US and EU regions)
• Account data: lifetime of account + 90 days post-deletion
• Conversation history: retained while account is active; user-deletable at any time
• Camera/document session data: not retained beyond the active session unless saved by you
• Firebase analytics/crash data: up to 14 months (anonymized)
• Billing records: minimum 7 years
• Support communications: 3 years after resolution

6. Camera Access and Image Data

Camera permission is used only for explicit in-app capture. Images are transmitted to the selected AI provider for processing and are not stored on VIT Labs servers beyond the active session. Images are not used to train AI models and are not shared with advertisers. Camera permission can be revoked at any time in iOS Settings.

7. Third-Party AI Providers and Your Data

Chat GT integrates five AI providers, each with their own privacy policies:

• Google DeepMind — ai.google.dev/privacy
• Nano Banana
• DeepSeek — deepseek.com/privacy

We advise users not to submit sensitive personal information (financial data, passwords, medical records, government IDs) as prompts.

8. Firebase and Analytics

Firebase services used include: Firestore (database), Authentication, Analytics, Crashlytics, and Performance Monitoring. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Firebase Data Processing Terms. Users can opt out via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

9. International Data Transfers

Data may be transferred to the US, EU, and other jurisdictions. Safeguards include Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), UK IDTA, and adequacy decisions where applicable.

10. Your Privacy Rights

UAE

Access, correction, erasure, consent withdrawal, data portability, and objection.

GDPR (EEA / UK / Switzerland)

All UAE rights, plus restriction of processing, rights related to automated decision-making, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Response within 30 days (extendable to 90).

CCPA/CPRA (California)

Right to know, delete, correct, opt-out of sale/sharing (VIT Labs does not sell data), limit use of sensitive personal information, and non-discrimination. Response within 45 days (extendable by 45).

11. Your Privacy Controls Within the App

• Delete individual conversations or all conversation history
• Delete your account
• Revoke camera permission via iOS Settings

12. Children's Privacy

No accounts for children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. Users aged 13–17 require parental consent. Contact support@chat-gt.pro (subject: "Child Account") for any concerns.

13. Data Security

• TLS 1.2+ encryption in transit
• AES-256 encryption at rest
• iOS device encryption
• Role-based access controls and Firebase Security Rules
• OAuth 2.0 authentication (no passwords stored by VIT Labs)
• Documented incident response plan

Data breach notifications are issued within legally prescribed timeframes.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification and email. The current version is always available in the App under Settings → Privacy Policy.
